Google’s Schmidt: “We’re Not Arguing For Censorship, We’re Arguing Just Take It Off The Page”

Chris Menahan InformationLiberation Google is not going to “censor” their search results, they’re just going to take search results “off [their] page” to “essentially have you not see it.” In a video from March 23 that’s just now going viral, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt was asked by Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo how they plan to deal with extremist content. Eric Schmidt responded by mixing in “fake news” with “extremist things” and suggested their computer algorithms will determine what’s true: “My own view on most of this sort of extremist things as well as fake news in general is...

by Rachel Stockman On the heels of major shakeups at the Fox News Network, an alternative conservative network is being actively discussed amongst conservative fat cats. A well-placed source close to the proposal tells Mediaite that serious discussions are underway to create an alternative conservative cable network on the belief that the Fox News Network is moving too far to the left. The source, who is engaged in the talks, says a meeting is planned for today with two prominent high-powered television executives, some underperforming conservative networks and people who have an interest and the ability to fund a new network. The potential aim?...

Trump, Russia Optimistic About Improving Relations After First 100 Days

by Kristina Wong President Trump said many times on the campaign trail that he hoped to get along with Russia, to deal with challenges such as Islamic terrorism and the conflict in Syria. About 100 days in, it appears the U.S.-Russian relationship has become more tense — but some experts say it doesn’t mean the Trump administration and Russia won’t find a way to work together.  “Some people have mistakenly assumed that when the president has said we have to find a way to work with Russia, that that will be a pleasant experience for Russia,” said Paul Saunders, executive...

Open Borders Leader: DHS Illegal Immigrant Victims Unit Is ‘Despicable’

by John Binder A legal director with an open borders organization called the new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office which will aid the American victims of illegal immigrant crimes “despicable.” During an interview with 89.3 KPCC, Chris Newman with the National Day Laborer Organizing Network blasted the mere creation of DHS’ Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office, which DHS Secretary John Kelly unveiled this week with American victims. “Victims are not more harmed or need greater healing when the perpetrator of those crimes are not citizens,” Newman said. “This is clearly not an earnest effort. So you...

Mexico’s Government Warns U.S.A. to Not Build Border Walls

by Bob Price The Mexican foreign secretary called the plan to build walls along the border a “hostile” and “deeply unfriendly” act, and an “aggravating action”. He warned that Mexico intends to conduct a fierce legal battle to stop any border walls that violate the rights of Mexicans. Mexico Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray said building any walls when there are already 600 kilometers of barriers is not only a hostile and deeply unfriendly act, but one that “also is not going to fulfill the objectives that it raises, is not only an aggravating action, but it seems to be...

In One Year, Opiates Killed Ten Times As Many Americans As ALL Terror Attacks In Last 20 Years

By Claire Bernish Safety of the people and security of the nation should be priority number one for any leader who wishes to have a successful tenure in office, perhaps even multiple terms — and the President of the United States is no exception to this model. So, why, then, has a killer of tens of thousands each year still on the loose inside those putatively impermeable borders? How could this executioner, unmasked and identified, roam main streets of small towns as comfortably as a seedy alley in some decrepit corner of an urban metroplex — unhindered by the threat...

Montenegro parliament ratifies NATO membership after US approval

Montenegro’s parliament has formally agreed for the country to join NATO – the military bloc that pounded the tiny Balkan country with bombs less than 20 years ago during the Kosovo War. The decision sparked protest among the population and opposition figures. On Friday, Montenegrin MPs voted 46-0 to become the 29th member of NATO. Opposition lawmakers boycotted the parliamentary session, while hundreds of protesters gathered outside the parliament building before the vote to express their discontent with the idea of Montenegro joining the alliance. The protesters chanted “treason” and “thieves” and held a banner that read “NATO murderers,...

Left-Leaning Ivanka Becoming Donald Trump’s Problem Child

By Michael van der Galien Ivanka Trump’s left-of-center positions are causing trouble for President Trump. Many passionate supporters of Trump didn’t like it one bit when he gave her a prominent advisory role in his government. Both the “alt-right” and actual conservatives feared she would push her farther left on a host of pivotal issues, including on the Planned Parenthood funding battle and the Syrian migrant security issue. Although Ivanka is losing on the former, she’s still fighting for the latter, which must put her father in a difficult spot: Ivanka Trump, juggling dual roles of White House adviser and daughter of the...
