Retired SF Police Officers Join NRA Lawsuit Against ‘High Capacity’ Magazine Ban
Retired San Francisco police officers, a retired Navy master chief, and other city residents have joined the NRA in a lawsuit against the city’s ban on “high capacity” magazines.
The suit was filed November 20th.
According to The San Francisco Appeal, the suit contends that “limiting magazine capacity for law-abiding citizens to ten rounds decreases public safety by giving violent criminals an advantage and thus decreasing the likelihood a victim will survive a criminal attack.”
The ban passed on November 8th and “makes it a misdemeanor to possess ammunition magazines carrying more than ten bullets.” It is scheduled to take effect on December 8th.
