Media Day at the Range
SHOT Show Media Day at the Range™ on Monday, January 13, is divided into two sessions: morning and afternoon. Attendance at the morning session, which begins at 8:00 a.m., is by exhibitor invitation only. All individuals on this list have received an email invitation to register for this session. The afternoon session, which begins at 12 p.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m, is open to any registered media person whose SHOT Show credentials have been approved. Registration for the afternoon session will be accepted until the cutoff number is reached; currently, there are still openings for the afternoon session. In December, both morning and afternoon Media Day registrants will receive a mailing containing their Media Day badge, which is separate from their SHOT Show media badge, and additional information about Media Day. (Note: There are no color-coded wristbands for Media Day 2014.) International media who have registered for Media Day will not receive their badge in the mail. They should bring their Media Day email confirmation and a photo ID to gain entry. Learn more about Media Day at http://www.shotshowrangeday.com .
Project ChildSafe at SHOT Show
For SHOT Show story ideas, see the Online Newsroom . One story topic we would like to remind you about is the firearm industry’s safety education program, Project ChildSafe. The program, which was developed by NSSF and has distributed 36 million free firearm safety kits, will have a booth on Level 3 of the Venetian and an information table in the NSSF Members Lounge. Industry companies ranging from Cabela’s and Oudoor Channel to small independent retailers and shooting ranges have partnered with NSSF’s Project ChildSafe to promote the safe handling and secure storage of firearms nationwide.
