Multiple people shot during attempted robbery at Kansas gun store: reports
DEVELOPING: At least three people are in critical condition after being shot during an attempted robbery at She’s a Pistol, a Shawnee, Kansas gun and supply store.
Four people including three alleged robbers were shot during a holdup at She’s a Pistol, a Kansas gun store, Friday afternoon, local reports said.
The shooting happened at two locations during an attempted robbery including the Shawnee business at 2:10 p.m., according to the Kansas City Star.
One of the store’s co-owners was shot, KCTV-TV reported, in addition to three of the robbery suspects, one of which was found wounded nearby.
Three of the victims were hospitalized in critical condition while a fourth had serious injuries.
The store, described as “woman-owned,” also offers gun safety and defense classes catered for women and children and sells firearm supplies including guns, according to its website.
Business records show the 4-year-old company store employs about three people and is owned by Becky and Jon Bieker.
Calls by the Daily News to Shawnee Police Department and the She’s a Pistol owners were not immediately returned.
