UFC Fighter Tim Kennedy Reenlists in Special Forces Because of Trump

Former UFC fighter Tim Kennedy said he decided to re-enlist in the U.S. Army Special Forces after he noticed a change in how President Donald Trump was running the military.

Kennedy appeared on “Fox & Friends Weekend” Sunday and said that Trump dropping the “mother of all bombs” in Afghanistan was one of the reasons he decided to reenlist.

“I’ve got hope again,” he said. “The military, we got our teeth back.”

Kennedy said that the U.S. military was “reinvigorated” and “hopeful.”

“I’ve got people that will back me now,” he added.

Kennedy also said the Islamic State terror group was a “bunch of cowards” and “pathetic humans that have no similarities to any of the things that we value or love, like human life.”

“They prey on the weak, they prey on the helpless, whereas we’re the protectors of those. The stark contrast between us — I don’t understand how they even exist and how we’re the same species,” he continued. “We’re here to do work, we’re here to win a war that we’ve been fighting and just holding onto for 16 years, and that’s about to change.”

Take a look at the interview:

Earlier this year, Kennedy announced his retirement from mixed martial arts and has since decided to return to his military roots, and did so with a fiery post to Instagram, where he pledged to deliver vengeance on the Islamic State terror group.

It’s encouraging that Kennedy felt inspired by Trump’s leadership. There’s actually no telling how may more people might be inspired to enlist in the military now that we have a commander in chief who will actually stand up to evil like the Islamic State group.
