Well, Melania is now in her own quiet classy fashion returning that money back to the taxpayers by only maintaining a small White House staff.
Our current 1st lady is no Michelle Obama. You probably haven’t been able to avoid the recent round of interviews Michelle gave shrieking racism and what a burden it was to her ego to be our 1st lady for 8 years. But, what’s funny about all of this is that despite claiming to be angry that people didn’t find her arms alluring and beautiful. Mrs. O didn’t seem to have any problem spending the taxpayer’s money while also yelling at us for being deplorable.
One would be tempted to think Michelle thought she was the 1st person to ever occupy the role of the 1st lady. Maybe she was the 1st man too but who knows that is just a theory. People also attack Melania all day, every day. She literally can not wear white without people vilifying her on Twitter for being a white supremacist. Yet, you never hear her complain. Instead, she says “I have a thick skin”.
Melania says that the press often mischaracterize her quietness as reticence. “They say I’m shy,” she says. “I am not shy. They interview people about me who don’t even know me. These people, they want to have 15 minutes of fame in talking about me, and reporters don’t check the facts
There is a reason Michelle went back out seeking the limelight over the past few weeks. Melania and Ivanka Trump for that matter quietly captivated the spotlight at the G20 summit. Every little thing they did, wore or said became international news. Something Michele never enjoyed during her time as 1st lady. The Trump ladies subscribe to the old adage ‘you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar’ and much to Mrs. O chagrin, it works.
Melania is an adult. Instead of being pictured scowling and sending hateful looks over at other women because they disagreed with her and POTUS’s decision to let Barron finish out the school year in NY. She quietly listened to what the people had to say, found lavish White House expenses and staffs mandated by her predecessor, and slashed them to reduce the overall taxpayer expenses associated with the role of the 1st lady. Melania Trump is saving more taxpayer money than Michelle Obama, according to a private organization that tracks government spending, Open Books. Our FLOTUS doesn’t require a large staff to get ready or take care of her and Barron. She retains a staff of 5 whereas Michelle Obama required a minimum of 24 personal staffers. Fun side notes Laura Bush had 18 personal staffers.

On Friday, the White House released their salary report on staff. With a significantly leaner administration, we project four-year savings on the White House payroll could top $22 million.
- $5.1 million in payroll savings vs. the Obama FY2015 payroll. In 2017, the Trump payroll amounts to $35.8 million for 377 employees, while the Obama payroll amounted to $40.9 million for 476 employees (FY2015).
- Nineteen fewer staffers are dedicated to The First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS). Currently, there are five staffers dedicated to Melania Trump vs. 24 staffers who served Michelle Obama (FY2009).
Melania is saving taxpayer over 5.1 million dollars a year. The thing most people forget about our 1st lady is that she grew up poor in a communist country. You can never forget poverty, hunger, or the pain of watching those around you suffer hardship. Even within the gilded surroundings of Trump Tower or the classic mansion walls of the White House, those are things that can never leave a person. To present Melania Trump as the MSM does as an uncaring gold digging ice queen is ludicrous. She is just a strong woman. And that is what liberal feminist and activist hate so much. Our 1st lady is proof that a woman can be beautiful and composed, but bold, traditional, but break sexist traditional gender norms associated with the role of 1st lady.
How many women would not have caved to the pressure from Washington, RINOs, leftist, perhaps even President Trump himself to just move to the White House off the bat? But, no. Melania is rumored to be one of the people advocating for Spicer’s departure over his failure to defend the name and honor of her husband with passion. God only knows what is going on in liberal la la land. But, it really remains a mystery as for where the MSM is basing their perceptions upon. Melania Trump is no shrinking violet when it comes to her family. The people who think Melania is in a prison or the marriage a sham is nuts. The liberals just can’t stand the thought of their hated Cheeto getting more action in at 70 some years old then they are with their pink hat knitting Lena Dunham emulating feminist wives or complete lack thereof.
Melania Trump will never be able to win with liberals by virtue of having been a model and a strong independent person with modest roots despite being married to someone like President Trump. It doesn’t fit their narrative and for that matter no what she accomplishes or saves, it will never be good enough.
