UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid announced Monday that the government is planning to resettle “thousands” more refugees non-stop from the Middle East, Africa and beyond “starting from next year, and for years to come.”

Javid, an MP with the British Conservative Party who is the son of Pakistani Muslim immigrants, linked to a page on Gov.uk which said one of the hopes of the refugee resettlement program is that it will “transform communities in the process.”
The responses on Twitter were overwhelmingly negative.
