Boise Manifesto Worthy Of Discussion
We were honored to receive a copy of Boise’s “Final Transition Team Report for Mayor Lauren McLean” Friday and it is safe to say there are enough issues highlighted to keep conservatives fuming all weekend.
The 12 page manifesto entitled “A MORE EQUITABLE CITY FOR EVERYONE” is a fast read and has more goals than an NBA basketball game.
We will tick off a few of the more explosive points and suggest everyone go to the link at the Boise City site to see what McLean’s citizen committee suggests for the next year and four years as “recommendations centered on what we want for our future.”
–Commit the City of Boise to an ongoing and robust efforts to interrupt white dominant/white supremacist culture with a multi-layered strategy and designate a full-time City of Boise staff person to serve as Director of Equitable, Safer and Thriving City.

Free abortions, pre-K sex ed: Conservatives blast Boise mayor’s transition report as ‘socialist wish list’
Conservatives are blasting the mayor of Boise, Idaho, for a “socialist wish list” written by her transition team, but the Democrat said it’s being “taken out of context.”
Boise Mayor Lauren McLean, who was elected in December, told reporters Wednesday she selected 18 committee members to come up with a report for recommendations during her first term.
The Boise Guardian caused a stir when it shared McLean’s “A More Equitable City for Everyone” report, which was slammed by conservatives as a “socialist wish list” being pushed during coronavirus stay-at-home orders.

The Experts Were ALL WRONG: Six New Studies Show COVID-19 Infected Millions More than Predicted
At least six US studies show the coronavirus is more widespread than expected and that millions and millions of Americans have been infected by the Wuhan virus already without knowing they had the virus.
Face masks DO NOT stop healthy people from catching coronavirus and should only be worn by healthcare workers and patients, says WHO
Face masks do not stop people from catching coronavirus, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) in light of recent studies suggesting the opposite.
The United Nations’ health body was forced to review new evidence from Hong Kong claiming mass-issuing masks may have helped contain the pandemic.
But the WHO maintains the public should not wear them outside because there is still no proof they prevent infection, it says.
In updated guidance published on Monday, the health body said masks were only useful for healthcare workers and patients who test positive.
The advice is in stark contrast to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which urges all Americans to wear them.
The CDC has even went one step further and advised people use makeshift masks out of scarves when travelling on public transport or in supermarkets.
Jason Kenney says targeted approach needed to prevent COVID-19 resurgence
‘The most important strategy as we move forward is building a wall of defence around the most vulnerable’
Premier Jason Kenney says Alberta has been among the world leaders in staunching the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, but at a staggering financial cost the province cannot afford to repeat should there be a second wave.
Kenney says the key to prevention will be ramped up testing, border screening and a focus on protecting the highest risk group — seniors and those with underlying conditions.

Kenney has ‘no intention’ of making COVID-19 vaccine mandatory if one becomes available
The Alberta government has no plans to make inoculation mandatory if or when an approved COVID-19 vaccine becomes available, Premier Jason Kenney said Wednesday night.
The premier made the comment while answering questions during a Facebook livestream for which he was joined by the province’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, as well as members of his cabinet.
