President Donald Trump’s administration has just called a massive contract with pharmaceutical giant Moderna for a “bird flu” mRNA “vaccine.”
The contract was canceled by Trump’s Robert F. Kennedy Jr.-led Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The taxpayer-funded contract was agreed between Moderna (mRNA) and former President Joe Biden’s administration.
The agreement saw tax dollars paying for the development of the “vaccine” and provided the federal government with purchase rights.
The Biden admin was planning to use the mRNA injections on the American people to supposedly tackle “bird flu.”
The cancellation of the contract was revealed in a Wednesday press release from Moderna.
“The Company had previously expected to advance the program to late-stage development with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS); however, today Moderna received notice that HHS will terminate the award for the late-stage development and right to purchase pre-pandemic influenza vaccines,” the statement reads.
In January, Moderna was awarded $590 million by the Biden admin to advance the development of its “bird flu vaccine.”
This was in addition to $176 million awarded by Biden’s HHS last year to complete the late-stage development and testing of a pre-pandemic mRNA-based vaccine against the H5N1 avian influenza, Reuters reported.
While the news is a blow for Big Pharma, it is welcome for those opposed to government pandemic planning.
However, Moderna, which only produces Covid mRNA “vaccines,” isn’t giving up.
In a statement, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel, a World Economic Forum (WEF) “agenda contributor,” said:
“While the termination of funding from HHS adds uncertainty, we are pleased by the robust immune response and safety profile observed in this interim analysis of the Phase 1/2 study of our H5 avian flu vaccine, and we will explore alternative paths forward for the program.
