The hosts on Fox & Friends urged President Donald Trump to provide clear answers and transparency about the Jeffrey Epstein case after he faced outrage from his supporters over a post telling people to move on.
On Saturday night, Trump shared a lengthy post on Truth Social addressing backlash from some of his supporters over the Department of Justice’s handling of the Epstein-related files.
The post primarily defended Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has faced criticism from MAGA influencers and conservatives for a recent DOJ and FBI memo stating that a review of Epstein’s materials “revealed no incriminating ‘client list’” tied to high-profile figures, despite earlier indications from the administration (including binders labeled “Epstein Files: Phase 1” distributed to influencers) that suggested more disclosures were coming.
Trump described the files as fabrications created by his political adversaries, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and John Brennan, and urged his followers to move on from the issue to avoid giving it unnecessary publicity.
The president wrote, “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration. THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish’ people are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals…”
