During today’s press conference in the Oval Office, President Trump committed to deploying the National Guard to Chicago.
He did not provide a time-frame for when that will happen, but he did go after Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker for refusing federal help to stop the violent crime plaguing his city.
Despite Pritzker’s refusal to swallow his ego and ask for assistance, President Trump says, “We’re going to do it anyway. We have the right to do it because I have an obligation to protect this country.”
