KISS frontman Gene Simmons blasted liberal celebrities who weigh in on politics, delivering a blunt message for actors such as Mark Ruffalo and Ben Stiller.
Simmons declared Ruffalo and Stiller should “shut the f— up” and stop lecturing the public.
The rocker made the remarks Tuesday during an interview with TMZ.
He was asked about criticism from actors who have spoken out against President Donald Trump’s military actions against Iran.
Simmons Dismisses Celebrity Political Commentary
Asked about Stiller’s criticism of Trump’s policies, Simmons mocked the idea that entertainers should be taken seriously on political matters.
“Because everybody in the world should listen to what actors and comedians say because they’re so qualified,” Simmons said sarcastically.
“Basically, shut the f— up,” he continued.
“Do your art and shut up.
“Nobody’s interested in your opinions, that includes me.
“Who I vote for. Who I like.”
Simmons also criticized wealthy celebrities for lecturing everyday Americans.
