An illegal alien accused in a brutal gang rape case stunned a UK courtroom by defending his role in the attack of a lone, drunk British woman by attempting to justify his actions with a bone-chilling argument.
Karin Al-Danasurt, an Egyptian national, told the court that he did not distinguish between rape and sex, insisting that he did nothing wrong.
The shocking attempt to justify the alarming crime came as prosecutors laid out disturbing details of an alleged attack on a vulnerable British woman.
Al-Danasurt is on trial at Lewes Crown Court alongside two co-defendants over the alleged gang rape of a heavily intoxicated 33-year-old woman on Brighton beach in Southern England.
Defendant Claims He Filmed Assault for ‘Protection’
Al-Danasurt admitted to filming his two co-defendants during the incident but denied participating in the rape or sharing the footage.
He told the court he was recording the encounter to gather evidence for his own protection.
When questioned by prosecutor Hanna Llewellyn-Waters about whether he understood he was witnessing a rape, Al-Danasurt gave a chilling response.
“I see sex in front of me,” he said.
Pressed further, he added:
“That’s what I saw. Rape to me is sex.”
He also described the victim’s condition, acknowledging she was incapacitated.
