Pizza chain Little Caesars has launched a new drone-delivery pilot program.
The new drone delivery pilot program was launched in Texas, and according to the pizza chain, the drone can carry up to two pizzas and a 2-liter soda.

Little Caesars, one of the nation’s largest pizza chains, is teaming up with Flytrex to deliver full orders by drone.
The limited test uses Flytrex’s new Sky2 drone, which can complete deliveries within four miles in less than five minutes, according to the companies.
“Innovation at Little Caesars has always been driven by one thing — making it easier for customers to enjoy our pizza,” Trish Heusel, vice president of innovation at Little Caesars, said in a release.
Chipotle and Zipline partner to deliver burritos via drone
The drone can carry up to 8.8 pounds, roughly two large pizzas and drinks. The companies say that’s the largest carrying capacity of any food delivery drone currently available.The service is being tested at a Little Caesars location in Wylie, Texas, a Dallas suburb. Customers within four miles can order through the Flytrex app.
Flytrex says the Sky2 uses an octocopter design with eight motors and was built to deliver full meals.
“Until now, drones simply weren’t capable of delivering a full family meal,” said Amit Regev, CEO and co-founder of the Israeli drone delivery company.
