Thune adjourned the worthless US Senate on Friday for an August recess without passing the SAVE Act.
The SAVE America Act has passed the US House of Representatives but NOT the US Senate.
The key elements to the law include:
** Voters must provide a proof of US citizenship to register to vote.
** A photo ID is required to vote.
** States would be required to take ongoing steps to remove non-citizens from voter rolls for federal elections.
