A fencing contractor in Will County, Illinois, just outside Joliet, posted video of his crew dismantling a wooden fence they had just installed after the homeowner allegedly refused to pay.
The homeowner, whose face is blurred in the clip, can be heard screaming at the men to get off his property and threatening to call the police.
The video, posted by César Diaz of Diaz Fence Company on Instagram under the handle @el.compa.cesar, racked up over 17 million views.
Diaz narrates at the start: “We’re about to take away a fence because somebody didn’t want to pay. So this is going to be fun.”
His crew then knocks panels off the posts with hammers and a chainsaw while the property owner curses them out.
One worker can be heard giving instructions in Spanish. Diaz later claimed the homeowner also walked off with the crew’s chainsaw.
