Jim Carrey to ‘Assault Rifle Fans’: ‘I Love You and I’m Sorry I Called You  Names’

As NewsBusters previously reported,  actor Jim Carrey back in March called gun owners “heartless motherf–kers.”

On Sunday, Carrey tried taking it back writing on Twitter, “Asslt rifle fans,I do not agree wth u,nor do I fear u but I do love  u and I’m sorry tht in my outrage I called you names”:

This isn’t the first time Carrey’s conscience got the better of him.

Last month he announced that he was not going to support his soon to be released movie “Kick-Ass 2”  because of the violence.

NewsBusters and other conservative websites called on Carrey to put his  money where his mouth is and return what he was paid for the film or donate it  to charity.

No word on that yet.

I guess Carrey’s conscience only goes so deep.
