Adrenaline Junkie Jeb Corliss Comes Within 5 Feet of Death

You Only Live Once….and suddenly, skydiving looks tame. Jeb Corliss traveled to Switzerland, leapt off a cliff with a wingsuit and parachute on his back, and buzzed a gorge 5 feet from the ground at nearly 120 mph. Watch it. Corliss (born March 25, 1976) is a professional BASE jumper, skydiver, and wingsuit flyer. He has jumped from sites including Paris’ Eiffel Tower, Seattle’s Space Needle, and the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year he also appeared in a Red Bull-sponsored event where he used a wingsuit to fly through the Tianmen Arch, a natural rock formation in Huhan Province, China. He jumped out of a helicopter at 6,000 feet and sped through the arch at nearly 100 mph. He is also permanently banned from the Empire State Building after being arrested trying to BASE jump off the observation deck in 2006.
