Suspected Robber Demands Money, Gets Shot and Killed Instead
Just after midnight on January 22, an armed man reportedly drove up beside a pedestrian in Dallas, Texas, demanded money, and was then shot and killed when the would-be victim turned out to have a concealed carry license and a handgun on his person.
The incident took place in the 7300 block of Chesterfield Drive.
According to CBS DFW, the pedestrian “was walking along the sidewalk when a vehicle drove up next to him.” The driver of the vehicle “pulled out a gun and demanded money.” The pedestrian responded by pulling out his own gun instead of a wallet and then opened fire on the armed suspect.
The suspect was shot at least once, causing him to lose control of the vehicle which “then crashed into a covered bus stop bench.”
The suspect was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
