Arkansas: “Shall Sign” Legislation Sent to Governor
Yesterday, March 23rd, pro-gun House Bill 1488 passed unanimously in the Arkansas Senate after passing unanimously in the state House of Representatives on March 12. HB 1488 has been transmitted to Governor Asa Hutchinson (R) for his expected signature.

Kentucky: Governor Beshear Signs Two Pro-Gun Bills Into Law
Yesterday, March 23, Governor Steve Beshear (D) signed Senate Bill 67 and House Bill 91 into law. Both of these bills passed through their respective chambers with strong bipartisan support. SB 67 passed in the House of Representatives on March 10 by a 89-5 vote after passing unanimously in the Senate on February 23. HB 91 passed in the Senate on March 11 by a 33-3 vote after passing in the House on February 25 by a 70-21 vote.

Colorado: Bill To Repeal Arbitrary Magazine Ban Needs Your Help!
After passing through the Senate last week by a 21-13 vote, Senate Bill 175, the bill to repeal the arbitrary limitation on the number of rounds of ammunition in magazines, has been sent to the House and assigned to the House Committee on State, Veterans and Military Affairs.

Florida Report: Emergency Evacuation Bill Passes the Florida Senate
SB-290, Firearms/Emergency Evacuation by Senator Jeff Brandes (R-St. Petersburg) was heard on the Senate Floor today, March 24, 2015, and PASSED by a vote of 29-10. All Republicans and four (4) Democrats voted for the bill. The 10 who voted against the bill were anti-gun Democrats. SB-290 is a bill to protect citizens from being disarmed and charged with a crime for carrying a weapon or firearm during a mandatory evacuation ordered by the Governor or local government during a declared state of emergency.

Tennessee: Important Employee Protection Legislation Heads to Governor’s Desk
Yesterday, Senate Bill 1058 and its companion bill, House Bill 994, passed out of their respective chambers. SB 1058, sponsored by state Senator Mark Green (R-22) and HB 994, sponsored by state Representative Curry Todd (R-95), will provide a cause of action against an employer for an employee who becomes terminated or receives adverse employment action based solely on the lawful transportation or storage of a firearm or ammunition in a personally owned vehicle on an employer’s parking lot.

Idaho: Important Pro Gun Legislation Passes House
Today, the Idaho House of Representatives passed House Bill 301 by an overwhelming 57 to 11 vote. HB 301 is important NRA-backed legislation that seeks to reform Idaho’s confusing and unwieldy concealed weapons licensing statute to remove inherent ambiguities and provide explicit statutory guidance for citizens and law enforcement alike.

Montana: Pro-Gun Legislation Sent to the Governor’s Desk Today
On March 12, the Montana Senate passed House Bill 298 on third reading by a 28 to 21 vote. Sponsored by state Representative Bill Harris (R-29), HB 298 expands Montanan’s freedom to legally carry a concealed firearm without a Montana concealed weapons permit (CWP) by harmonizing the carry laws present in city limits with those outside city limits.
