Colorado: Apprentice Hunting Bill Heads to Committee of the Whole
Yesterday, Senate Bill 226 passed favorably out of the Senate Agriculture, Natural Resources and Energy Committee by an 8-1 vote. SB 226, introduced by state Senator Jerry Sonnenberg (R-1), would strengthen Colorado’s rich hunting heritage by opening up an apprentice program for minors in the field. This bill is expected to be voted on this week.

Minnesota: Gun Measures Head To House Floor
The Minnesota House was expected to take up bills Thursday that would legalize gun silencers and remove a requirement that gun permit owners notify state officials before bringing a firearm onto Capitol grounds. Other measures were also set for a vote.
