Ordinary Russians in the streets (actually in a park) were asked what are their associations with Ukraine and Ukrainians.
Responses varied but the overwhelming majority of them stressed they have positive associations to Ukraine – many pointing out they have relatives there.
The most common response was that Ukrainians and Russians are a fraternal people with common origins – while some interviewees are also sad that some Ukrainians have turned away from that and see Russians as an enemy.
