Socialism Mass Distraction – 3rd Term O’Commie

Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing: How the Public Was Duped into Socialism (But Got Totalitarianism)

A story of Obamacare, Fabian Socialism, 1984 and the incremental hijacking of our lives.

The Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, may be a functional nightmare, PR blunder and a deeply divisive issue, but it represents a momentous power grab for the rise of Socialism in America – which though once a haunting specter, has gradually become a reality.

Individuals in the United States have less power over their own lives than ever before – as millions of Americans are losing their coverage, and all who refuse to join the system face mounting fines and penalties. Senator Harry Reid, for one, admitted that the current health care law was moving the country towards a single payer system managed by the federal government.

5 Ways Socialism Destroys Societies

There are a lot of arguments about whether communism, socialism, and liberalism are the same thing. What shouldn’t be arguable is that they’re all closely related branches of the same tree. If you don’t want to live in a house made out of Aleppo Pine, you probably won’t like a Coulter Pine or Eastern White Pine house either. However, since socialism has failed so often, socialists of every stripe bend over backwards to disassociate themselves from the many other disasters created by their ideology. Still, a pine by any other name is still a pine.

Socialism is particularly dangerous because it’s so perfectly suited for the modern era. It’s the ultimate “miracle” product: it’s “nice,” it’s “fair,” it’ll make you feel good about yourself, it’ll “help” people who “deserve it” by taking things away from people who “have so much” they’ll barely miss it. It sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? But, like most products with sleazy salesmen and hidden track records, the promises socialism makes are all a mirage. Since our schools do a terrible job of teaching history and economics these days, it’s our job to explain how socialism slowly, insidiously eats away at the core of a society.

Third-term power grab for Barack Obama? Why not?!

S President Obama, after congratulating himself this week as a “pretty good president,” expressed some bewilderment that the Constitution prevents him from running for a third term as supreme leader of the American superpower.

Addressing the African Union this week, the US Commander-in-Chief, jumping into costume as a champion of democracy, somberly acknowledged that “democratic progress is… at risk when leaders refuse to step aside when their terms end.” Then, in the very next line, he delivered the audience – still happily clapping the initial statement – a sucker punch by adding: “I do not understand this.”

As is usually the case when super-powerful people utter crazy, disturbing things, the audience responded with nothing more objectionable than confused, nervous laughter.

Perhaps most of us can agree that there is something at the very least strange, at worst, sinister, about a two-term president – and especially one who has never shown much respect for the sacred Constitution – cracking jokes over his desire to hold onto the reins of power for a third consecutive term.

Although the Democratic leader backpedalled on his remark, explaining that “under our Constitution, I cannot run again [chuckle, chuckle],” the last seven years of Obama’s reign of terror only invites the obvious question, “Why not?” Why shouldn’t Barack Obama – who has methodically droned foreign countries without the consent of Congress, spied on the American people without the consent of Congress, and militarized our local police forces with both the machinery and tactics of the US military without the consent of Congress – not go ahead and take the next logical step and make a historic power grab, Julius Caesar style?

Poll: Obama wouldn’t win third term

In a Monmouth University poll released Monday morning, President Obama’s claim that he could win a third White House term if he were to run in 2016 is put to the test — and fails.
