Duck Dynasty Dad Trolls Liberals, Thanks God Publicly for Thing They Hate Most

NASCAR rolled into the Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night for the Duck Commander 500, and since his family’s company was sponsoring the race, patriarch Phil Robertson delivered the pre-race prayer before the engines were fired.

Robertson’s prayer was filled with references to God, Jesus, guns and the military, and it had liberals squirming from the get go, according to Yahoo Sports.

“Alright Texas, we got here via Bibles and guns. I’m fixing to pray to the one who made that possible,” Robertson began.

“Father, thank You for founding our nation. I pray, Father, that we don’t forget who brought us. You. Our faith in the blood of Jesus and his resurrection. Help us, Father, to get back to that,” he said.

“Help us, dear God, understand that the men and women on my right, the U.S. military. On my right and on my left. Our faith in you and the U.S. military is the reason we’re still here,” he continued.

“I pray, Father, that we put a Jesus-man in the White House,” he added. “Help us do that and help us all to repent, to do what’s right, to love You more and to love each other. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.”

As could be expected, liberals got their panties in a wad over Robertson’s prayer, as he touched on several issues they simply can’t stand, such as God and Jesus, the U.S. military, a God-fearing Republican in the White House, and of course, guns.

As to Robertson’s plea that a “Jesus-man” be delivered unto the White House, that was most likely in reference to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, whom Robertson has unabashedly endorsed and supported in his quest for the presidency.

Making the situation even more ironic, as far as liberals are concerned, is the fact that this specific Texas spring race used to be sponsored by the National Rifle Association, an organization that is quite literally hated with a burning passion by many on the left.

Though liberals eventually pressured NASCAR to drop the NRA as the primary sponsor of the race, they probably regret that now as the Robertsons and Duck Commander have proven to be no less an annoyance to them as the NRA ever was.
