Hannity Explodes at Cruz on Live TV, “I’m Getting Sick of It!”
Sparks flew on Sean Hannity’s radio program Tuesday when the talk show host and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz got into a heated discussion about the delegate process taking place in the Republican presidential race.
Hannity asked Cruz to explain the somewhat complicated process that allowed his campaign to take delegates from other candidates. Cruz sidestepped the question and told Hannity that voters were not particularly worried about that and the only people complaining about the process were Trump and his supporters.
“The media loves to obsess about process, this process, and this whining from the Trump campaign, it’s all silly,” the senator said.
Hannity then interrupted Cruz and told him that he’s in touch with millions of people through social media and television and they’ve told him the process is confusing.
Cruz still refused to explain the process and said the only people asking about the process were “hard-core Donald Trump supporters.” That’s when Hannity lost it:
“Senator, why do you do this every single time? No, you gotta stop. Every time I have you on the air, and I ask a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face. I’m getting sick of it … So if I ask you, senator, a legitimate question to explain to the audience, why don’t you just answer it?”
Hannity had a difficult time getting a clear answer from Cruz, who simply claimed the Trump campaign didn’t know what it was doing and the matter of state Republican leaders deciding not to hold a regular primary or caucus was “nonsense.”
Hannity pressed Cruz further to explain the process behind how a contested, or brokered, convention, but the senator never actually explained it to him.
