Muslims Order Pastor to Take Down “Bigoted” Church Sign, HATE His Epic Response
One sign at a church in Oregon has attracted quite a bit of attention because of what liberals call its bigoted message, but the pastor has his own opinion and it’s sure to get the politically correct crowd fired up.
There are two signs at the Belmont Drive Missionary Baptist Church in Hood River that have upset liberals everywhere. One sign read: “Wake up Christians. Allah is not our God. Muhammad not greater than Jesus.”
Another read: “Only the Bible is God’s word. ‘Holy book.’ Koran is just another book.”
You can see why leftists everywhere would be offended by these “hateful” messages, but Pastor Michael Harrington had no intention of changing them until the first of the month, when he generally changes all of his signs.
“I’m not politically correct. I’ve never been politically correct, but I think I’m biblically correct, and that’s what matters to me,” Harrington said.
Harrington told WSBT doesn’t hate Muslims or Islam, but that he is trying to educate others about his religion.
“It isn’t against any particular denomination. It’s just the fact that I have taught and will continue to teach that I have one God, one way of salvation and one Bible that’s holy,” he said.
We would have to agree that his signs definitely get his ideas across:
As usual, many disagreed with Harrington’s signs and even his right to display them.
Resident Eric Cohn said he was “profoundly offended and upset” by the signs. Another resident, Paul Blackburn, said he was annoyed that that there was “such a solid case of ugly going on,” adding that such behavior was just an attempt to justify being a bigot.
These liberals need to understand that Harrington has the right to post whatever he chooses on his signs and declaring that his God as the one true God is not bigotry. In fact, it is his First Amendment right.
Harrington welcomed anyone to come by his church to discuss the matter over coffee and doughnuts.
