Students Forced to Lie About History of ‘Tolerant’ Islam on Test

We have seen countless examples over the years of American public schools presenting as curriculum what can only be described as propaganda on behalf of the Islamic faith, something they almost never do for Christianity or Judaism.

The Daily Caller News Foundation recently reported on a seventh-grade world history test at an Ohio middle school that essentially compelled the students to lie about the actual nature of Islam in regard to other religions, characterizing Muslims as being tolerant of those with different beliefs.

The multiple choice test presented by the Olmsted Falls Middle School, which was passed along to the DCNF anonymously, asked the question: “Muslims showed tolerance by …”

The available answers students could choose from were: “a. accepting other people’s religious beliefs,” “b. converting others to Islam,” “c. allowing only Christians to practice their religion,” and “d. conquering the Berbers.”

“(A)ccepting other people’s religious beliefs,” was, of course, the “correct” answer.

Unfortunately, anyone who has studied history knows that “accepting other people’s religious beliefs” was actually the least correct answer of the bunch.

What the test — and most likely the textbook it was based on — failed to mention is that throughout Islamic history Muslims have routinely demanded people of other faiths they had conquered or come in contact with to either convert to Islam or be killed. The only way Muslims would be “accepting” of other religious beliefs is if those people paid a special tax known as the “jizya,” which essentially rendered them second-class citizens forced to submit to the dominance of Islam.

Not exactly what we would view as being “accepting” of anything.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time this particular school has garnered attention for indoctrinating impressionable young students to the supposed glories of Islam, as they were called out in 2016 by The Federalist for requiring students to recite the Muslim conversion prayer known as the “shahaddah.”

The school had also previously shown a video to students called “30 Days: Muslims and America” featuring a Christian man attempting to live as a Muslim while receiving advice and learning from a Muslim imam. In addition to equating Islam with Christianity, the video also showed the man performing several Islamic rituals and portrayed Muslims as being constant victims of bigoted and oppressive Christians and Jews.

It is unclear (though highly doubtful) whether the school also gave students similarly positive lesson plans on Christianity or Judaism, and the school district declined to comment when pressed for an explanation by the DCNF.

This report is just the latest example of the subversive effort to indoctrinate students into viewing Islam positively while learning to despise Christianity and Judaism, a trend that must continue to be called out and confronted whenever spotted.
