Bill Nye Ticked As Physicist Calls Climate Change A Myth Right to His Face
Pretend scientist Bill Nye received a much-needed education in real science — versus the phony science he’s used to peddling on TV — Saturday on CNN courtesy of Princeton University physics professor William Happer, a science adviser to President Donald Trump.
The discussion centered around the inane climate-change-associated myth that too much carbon dioxide could lead to another mass extinction event.
“There’s this myth that’s developed around carbon dioxide that it’s a pollutant, but you and I both exhale carbon dioxide with every breath,” Harper tried to explain to a hyperventilating Nye, according to TheBlaze. “Each of us emits about two pounds of carbon dioxide a day, so are we polluting the planet?”
“Carbon dioxide is a perfectly natural gas,” he added. “It’s just like water vapor. It’s something that plants love. They grow better with more carbon dioxide, and you can see the greening of the earth already from the additional carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.”
Nye immediately attempted to strike back at Happer’s educated assessment by claiming that the professor didn’t know what he was talking about. He also complained to CNN for being willing to bring on guests with opposing viewpoints.
“(M)uch as I love the CNN, you’re doing a disservice by having one climate change skeptic and not 97 or 98 scientists or engineers concerned about climate change,” he said.
Apparently, the heat in the kitchen was too much for Nye to bear. Undeterred by the pretend scientist’s ignorance, Harper continued, saying, “Let me point out that science is not like passing a law. You don’t have a vote to say how many are for the law of gravity and how many are against — it’s based on observations.”
“And if you observe what’s happening to, for example, the temperature, the temperature is not rising nearly as fast as the alarmist computer models predicted. It’s much, much less — factors of two or three less,” he added.
“So the whole basis for the alarmism is not true, it’s based on flawed computer modeling,” he concluded.
Listen to the back-and-forth exchange below:
Flawed computer modeling frequently touted by pretend scientists such as Nye, who with others has spent decades ginning up fear among the populace by spreading ridiculous doomsday theories. Yet as of April 2017, the world still existed and would likely continue existing for a very long time, Nye’s silly theories notwithstanding.
