Jenner May Be Running on the Republican Ticket
“Caitlyn” Jenner for office? The former-Olympian-turned-reality-star says a future gig as a Republican politician is not out of the question.
According to PJMedia, the outspoken Republican told CNN it’s would be important to “seriously look at a run” and detailed a feeling of disappointment with how President Donald Trump is dealing with gays, lesbians and transgenders and their particular issues.
Jenner said fans have been vocal about pushing a run for office, but said, “I’ve got way too many skeletons in my closet.”
But then, things got serious.
“Or, would I be better working from the inside?” Jenner said. “If that is the case … I would seriously look at a run.”
Jenner didn’t hesitate to throw a casual dig at President Trump.
“My loyalties are not with Donald Trump,” Jenner said. “I will come after him and come after Republicans if they come after my community. I’ve got a voice and they better listen, OK? I will come after them.”
According to Breitbart, the interview took place at the “Imagining Men & Women: Caitlyn Jenner on Transgender Identity and Courage” event in New York City. Of course, Jenner would use that platform to discuss a run for office, because no one at that event would be opposed to such an idea.
Truly, this has got to be a joke. While the famous dad of the Kardashian sisters is open about supporting limited government and the U.S. Constitution, Jenner only seems to want to run for office in order to promote the LGBT agenda.
That is not a good enough reason to run for public office.
The American people know that. And Jenner should, too.
