London Terrorist Attack – Deficit Spending

London Police Chief Celebrates Diversity — Of Those Killed In Terror Attack!

Another one from the “You Can’t Make This Up” file: Cressida Dick, commissioner of London’s Metropolitan Police, says the diversity of those killed in the London Bridge terror attack is “what makes our city so great.”

Dick, who took over the department in April, pointed out that the victims were British, French, Australian, Canadian, and Spanish.

“In terms of our witnesses that we’ve spoken to so far, out of the 300-odd people, there are about 20 different countries of origin. And the London British population comes from all kinds of backgrounds and every kind of faith and ethnicity,” she told the Associated Press.

“We believe of course that that’s what makes our city so great,” she said. “It’s a place where the vast majority of time it’s incredibly integrated and that diversity gives us strength.”

Controversy Over Student Dress Codes in Alberta Schools

One public post from Virgin Radio Edmonton, states that the following letter was posted in the hallways of Breton (Alberta) high school: “When you wear little to no clothing and dress provocatively because it’s “too hot out” or because you think it’s “attractive”, you are putting boys at risk of having a a distracting working environment and saying “your clothing is more important than their education. Instead of dressing like a THOT (“That Whore Over There”), value the male education and dress conservatively. The sexist slant of the above letter is not lost on many who have read it.

After allegedly yelling ‘Allahu Akbar!’ in attack, Toronto woman pledges to ISIS leader in court

A Toronto woman who allegedly yelled “Allahu Akbar!” before attacking store employees with a golf club Saturday declared a “pledge” to the leader of the Islamic State during her courtroom appearance Tuesday, the Toronto Sun reported.

Justice of the Peace Alice Napier asked Rehab Dughmosh, 32, to identify herself, but the paper said she didn’t initially reply.

Decked out in a black niqab — the Islamic head covering with an opening for the eyes — Dughmosh then blurted out through an interpreter, “ISIS — I pledge to the leader of the believers — Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” referring to the leader of the Islamic State, the Sun said.

Trudeau Government Deficit Reaches $14 Billion So Far

Lots of spending, few results

Through nine months of the fiscal year, Justin Trudeau’s government has run a budget deficit of $14 billion. For comparison, there was a $3.2 billion surplus at the same time last fiscal year.

Not only is our debt rising rapidly, but Canadians aren’t seeing any benefit for all this new spending. Where is the surge in jobs or wealth? Where is the economic growth? Where is the opportunity?

We aren’t seeing it, because Trudeau and his government are stuck in the elitist mindset that wants to take people’s money, rather than let people keep what they’ve earned.

You can see how that mindset works when you consider the factors contributing to the rising deficit.

$5.7 billion of the increase is somewhat understandable, as it includes transfers to individuals – including seniors. Those benefits were earned.

However, the vast majority of the increased deficit is on program spending. A whole $8.9 billion of the added deficit comes from that direct program spending, which is up a whopping 11.3%.
