CNN Gets Beat In Ratings By Re-Runs Of Old Sitcoms, Home Garden Network Shows

More people tuned in last week to watch re-runs of Full House and Friends on Nick At Nite than watched CNN’s prime time lineup.

In fact, more people would rather watch old movies — jam-packed with commercials — on TBS and USA, as well as the Home Garden Network, which features shows like Fixer Upper and Flip Or Flop, than tune into CNN’s shows.

“According to cable ratings from the week of June 26-July 2, CNN’s viewership of its primetime shows was ranked significantly lower than its competitors like Fox News and MSNBC, which place first and second respectively. Clocking in at No. 10 on the list, CNN fell behind HGTV, Nick At Nite, History Channel, and ESPN — the sports network that’s been hemorrhaging viewers for months,” The Federalist reports.

CNN features prime-time shows like Erin Burnett Out Front, Anderson Cooper 360 and CNN Tonight With Don Lemon.

The ratings come amid the feud between President Donald Trump and CNN, which he calls “fake news.” The network has had a series of humiliating debacles over recent weeks , but despite being beat by Nick At Nite, CNN “clocked its most watched second quarter in its history,” Deadline reported.

That shows you just how low their rating were before — and is clear evidence that the third-place cable news network sees bashing Trump nonstop as the way to boost flagging ratings.
