Re-Writing of History – Shooting Sports Huge Numbers

White Liberals Rewrite Dems’ Phony Civil Rights History

Liberals ignored my book Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama throughout the fall. Now that I’m safely home from my book tour, they feel free to jabber on about their make-believe history of the civil rights movement with abandon.

In the hackiest of all hacky articles, Sam Tanenhaus, the man responsible for ruining The New York Times Book Review, has written a cover story in The New Republic, titled: “Original Sin: Why the GOP is and will continue to be the party of white people.”

MSNBC has been howling this cliche for a decade — or, as MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said of Tanenhaus’ article, “a bold headline”!

The Left Is Trying to Rewrite American History. We Must Stop Them.

George Orwell said, “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”

In the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, censorship, rewriting of history, and eliminating undesirable people became part of Soviets’ effort to ensure that the correct ideological and political spin was put on their history.

Deviation from official propaganda was punished by confinement in labor camps and execution.

Today there are efforts to rewrite history in the U.S., albeit the punishment is not so draconian as that in the Soviet Union.

The Importance of Women to the Shooting Sports

More recently, the National Shooting Sports Foundation reported that “The face of America’s target shooters is changing. New target shooters—those who have taken up the sport in the last five years—are younger, female and urban when compared to established target shooters—those participating for more than five years.”

The number of women shooters has grown steadily thanks to trailblazers like Ruby Fox, America’s only woman to earn an Olympic Pistol medal (1984 Los Angeles Games). Kim Rhode has medaled in Shotgun for five consecutive Olympics and has secured a slot for the 2016 Games in Rio, and recently retired Master Sergeant Julia (Watson) Carlson won the overall, shoulder-to-shoulder National Service Rifle Championships at Camp Perry in 2014.

Women’s Role in Modern Canadian Shooting Sports

The CCFR is cutting edge when you think about moving forward with gun owner’s rights and the continuation of our sport for generations to come. If you have not joined or are sitting on the fence then maybe this will help you make a decision to take the plunge.

A gentleman who is an executive at his local club said to club members recently- “The good ol’ boys club is dying… It ain’t your grandpa’s club anymore. If we bring the ladies and “ If mom is ok with shooting” then the kids will come. The sooner we recognize this as a community the better…”
