UC Berkeley Students Demand Safe Space from In-Class Exam

Everyone is graduating from the University of Coddling.

Some of the demands of leftist college students defy the entire premise of receiving a higher education. In a YouTube video no longer available online, Campus Reform learned that four students at the University of California, Berkeley attempted to weasel their way out of a mid-term exam, claiming they needed a safe space away from a stressful environment.

The troubled students showed up to class where their peers were settling in to take the exam and demanded that they be able to take it at home where they would have “significant time to prepare.” One of the students added that their “well-beings are being put on the line because of the emotional, mental, and physical stress that this university is compounding with what is already going on in [their] everyday lives.”

“This is our mental health, this is our physical health,” the cries continued.

A participating student who was patiently trying to work on his exam asked if this was a “filibuster,” which incensed the protestors.

“Are you trying to silence us right now? Is that what you’re trying to do?” they asked feverishly.

The student replied that he was just “trying to take [his] test.”

The overdramatic protestors shouted at the class, “I don’t know why you’re still, like, sitting down, y’all. I don’t understand. I really don’t understand. Y’all can take your f**king test, but people are dying out there!”

Then came the accusations that the test takers were supporting white supremacy for simply doing college.

Finally, the professor, Harley Shaiken, had enough and escorted the interrupters out into the hallway. The fragile students accused him of being unqualified to teach the course and claimed he knows nothing about labor issues in American or Mexico because he is a white man.

“Have you ever checked ‘unlisted’ or ‘undocumented immigrant’? I don’t think so!” the students growled.

Campus Reform noted the professor’s qualifications:

Shaiken… wrote about and advocated for improved workers’ rights in Mexico, specializes in labor issues, and was presented in 1991 with the Outstanding Teaching Award at the University of California, San Diego.

But the kids know best! They’ve taken their complaints to the Department of Ethnic Studies. Perhaps they should have enquired about what might be expected of them before they enrolled into college.
