THE FIRE RISES: Polish Nationalist Youth Draw 60,000 to Independence Day March

The people of Poland made it absolutely clear Saturday they’re not going to surrender their country to hostile foreigners like Germany and Sweden.
As is to be expected, the media responded by calling them “Nazis.”
First, here’s a non-hysterical description of the march from Voice of Europe:
Tens of thousands of patriots gathered in Poland’s capital Warsaw today for one of Europe’s biggest marches. The festivities were a tribute to 11 November; Poland’s Independence Day.
The slogan for this year’s event was “We Want God”: Three words of a Polish religious song that president Trump quoted in July while visiting Warsaw. Trump praised Poland for what he described as the country’s defence of Western civilisation.
Now, here’s a completely hysterical version from the Wall Street Journal (Archive):
WARSAW – Tens of thousands of Poles marched across downtown Warsaw on Saturday, in an independence-day procession organized by a nationalist youth movement that seeks an ethnically pure Poland with fewer Jews or Muslims.
The largely young crowd shot off roman candles and many chanted “fatherland,” carrying banners that read “White Europe,” “Europe Will Be White” and “Clean Blood.” Some of the marchers flew in from Hungary, Slovakia and Spain and waved flags and symbols that those countries used during their wartime collaboration with Nazi Germany.
A number of people in the crowd said they didn’t belong to any neo-fascist or racist organization but didn’t see a problem with the overall tone of what has become Poland’s biggest independence day event.
“There are of course nationalists and fascists at this march,” said Mateusz, a 27-year-old wrapped in a Polish flag, “I’m fine with it. I’m just happy to be here.”
The march, organized by a group called the National Radical Camp, underscores the rightward politics of a growing section of Polish youth. The Radical Camp presents itself as the heir to a 1930s fascist movement of the same name, which fought to rid Poland of Jews in the years just before the Holocaust. A second group, All Polish Youth, also named after an anti-Jewish interwar movement, co-organized it.
They oppose open borders and mass immigration, therefor they’re literally Nazis, understand?
Why can’t they be like the Swedes and Germans and accept being culturally enriched with trucks of peace, constant grenade attacks, rapes and cars being set on fire?

Former Hillary Clinton foreign policy spokesman Jesse Lehrich had an interesting, enlightening, deeply insightful take on the march… they’re all Nazis:
60,000 Nazis marched on Warsaw today.
banners read:
“Clean Blood”
“Europe Will Be White”

Incidentally, the author of the Wall Street Journal’s piece, Drew Hinshaw, actually corrected Lehrich in the comments:
OMG. 60 thousand nazis??? I find the nazis and any other extreme movement sickening, but most of the people in the 60 thousand crowd, were none of those. Just ordinary people celebrating the Polish Independence Day.

As the author of this piece, I agree. Throwing the label around might obscure clarity. This is more about casual acceptance of radical beliefs than radicalization.

Fake news called the Polish Independence Day celebration a “far-right extremist march” – this is why no one trust media anymore pic.twitter.com/ET15E8atD1

They’re angry the right isn’t purging their radicals like William F. Buckley Jr. demanded back in the 1960’s.
Where’s the similar demand for the left to purge their communists?
Communists killed 100 million people in 100 years, yet you don’t hear these people talking about the “casual acceptance” of communism in our nation’s universities.

Incidentally, after the right purged their radicals in the 1960’s, the left did the opposite and put theirs front and center. The right was playing defense constantly from that point on and leftism proceeded to take over the entire Western world. The “conservatives” who followed Buckley’s orders ended up conserving nothing.
Here’s some more leftist reactions:
Tens of thousands of neo Nazis showed up to march in Poland today and chant for an “all white Europe.”
In case you didn’t think the scale of hate we once naively thought was impossible could indeed be possible again.

The rise of white supremacy in the United States is deeply connected to what happened in Poland today.
Many of the chants and talking points come straight events I’ve monitored here. https://t.co/21aEU2ptjD

Adam Serwer’s the senior editor of The Atlantic:
My bar mitzvah tutor was a polish holocaust survivor. I once asked her if she wanted to go back to Poland to visit and she said no with a face and tone of voice I have never forgotten. https://t.co/bSxuMq0IZT pic.twitter.com/IbtP7eOD5s

Shaun King said this march had “EVERYTHING to do with Trump, Bannon, Breitbart, and the American embrace of bigotry”:
Again, you may not be familiar with Poland, but what happened there today, has EVERYTHING to do with Trump, Bannon, Breitbart, and the American embrace of bigotry. https://t.co/YtDivKklX8

It’s amazing seeing the amount of leftists who are angry that the Polish people are celebrating their Independence Day and want to keep their nation Polish. Poland should serve as an inspiration for nationalists everywhere.
Well done Poland!
