Crown corporation embroiled in legal battle over missing Bombardier jet

A Canadian Crown corporation is fighting an international legal battle in the U.K. and South Africa to reclaim a private jet it helped a wealthy South African-based family purchase.

The bizarre case began back in April of 2015, when EDC agreed to extend to a company controlled by the Guptas a $41 million loan to finance the purchase of a Bombardier Global 6000 private jet.

Wynne, not Ford, is the scary one

The real train wreck and dumpster fire in Ontario politics is not the election of Doug Ford as leader of the Progressive Conservatives.

It’s the financial record of Ontario’s Liberal government over the past 15 years, first under Dalton McGuinty and now Kathleen Wynne.

Under their leadership, Ontario has become the most indebted sub-sovereign (non-national) borrower in the world, with a current debt of $312 billion, 125% higher than the $139 billion the Liberals inherited from the PCs in 2003.

The Liberals have already broken Wynne’s election promise to run a balanced budget next year, now saying they will add up to $8 billion to the debt, consistent with their dismal performance of achieving only three balanced budgets from 2003 to 2017 while doubling provincial spending.

Poll finds PCs under Ford could win majority in Ontario election

A new poll suggests that the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party under new leader Doug Ford could be poised for a return to power at Queen’s Park.

The Mainstreet Research poll released this morning finds that the Ontario PC Party currently enjoys a 21 point lead over the governing Liberals.

The poll sampled 2,003 Ontarians of voting age on March 17 and March 18 by automated telephone poll and asked them who they would vote for if the election were held today

It found that the PC Party currently enjoys 47 percent support among decided and leaning voters, while the Liberals under Kathleen Wynne sit at 26.2 per cent. The Ontario NDP under Andrea Horwath sit at 18.6 per cent support and the Green party sits at 6.4 per cent.

Remove Justin Trudeau as PM

Trudeau does not put Canadians first. Canadians need his help more than refugees & his attention he’s paying towards Muslims. We don’t need Sharia Law. We don’t need to accommodate Islamic prayer in the legislature, call to prayer broadcast over loudspeakers in neighbourhoods, we don’t need no-go zones or Muslim only areas. Wilfred Laurier said it best!

‘In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes a Canadian and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet a Canadian, and nothing but a Canadian.
