X owner Elon Musk condemned Ireland’s Prime Minister Leo Varadkar for demanding new thought crime legislation in response to Thursday’s fiery but mostly peaceful protest against mass immigration.
“Irish children were stabbed by a foreign man in Dublin yesterday yet the government twist the story and use the backlash as an opportunity to pass new hate speech laws,” X user Sir Doge of the Coin commented on Friday. “The Irish government want all of your freedoms.”
“Ironically, the Irish PM hates the Irish people,” Elon Musk responded.

“We will pass new laws in the coming weeks to enable the Gardai (police) to make better use of the CCTV evidence they collected yesterday, and also we will modernise our laws against incitement to hatred and hatred in general,” Varadkar said during a new conference on Friday.
“I think it’s now very obvious to anyone who might have doubted us that our incitement to hatred legislation is just not up to date,” Varadkar continued. “It’s not up to date for the social media age. And we need that legislation through within a matter of weeks.”

“Being Irish means more than saluting the tricolour, beating your chest and pointing to where you were born,” Varadkar added.
Leo Varadkar tells Irish rioters they blame others for their problems as Varadkar blames the Irish for rightfully reacting to problems government created.
“Ask everyone” who they fear, migrants or rioters, says Leo, but the Irish were never asked about changing their homeland. https://t.co/euK2cQCslw
