Joe Biden Unilaterally Cancels Another $5 Billion in Student Loan Debt For 74,000 Borrowers in Latest Vote-Buying Gimmick
The Biden Regime will get their student loan bailout one way or another.
Joe Biden once again on Friday unilaterally canceled another $5 billion in student loan debt for 74,000 borrowers in his latest vote-buying gimmick.
Biden canceled student loans for workers such as firefighters and teachers who have served more than 10 years in the public sector.
“The latest round of student debt cancelation brings the total amount canceled under Biden to $136.6 billion for more than 3.7 million Americans, according to the Department of Education. It comes after the U.S. Supreme Court blocked Biden’s initial student loan handout last year, which would have cost more than $400 billion.” Fox Business reported.
Last Friday Joe Biden announced he will cancel student loans for borrowers who took out less than $12,000 and have been in repayment for 10 years.
“From Day One of my Administration, I vowed to fix the student loan system and make sure higher education is a pathway to the middle class – not a barrier to opportunity. Already, my Administration has cancelled student debt for 3.6 million Americans through various actions – delivering life-changing relief to students and families, and we created the most affordable student loan repayment plan ever: the SAVE plan.” Biden said in a statement.
“Starting next month, borrowers enrolled in SAVE who took out less than $12,000 in loans and have been in repayment for 10 years will get their remaining student debt cancelled immediately,” Biden said last week.
