Jonathan Turley: Trump Will Ultimately Prevail in Appeals Process

Legal scholar Professor Jonathan Turley has asserted that, while President Donald Trump is currently facing uncertainty in the near term from the Democrats’ lawfare attacks, he will ultimately prevail in the appeals process.

Manhattan’s Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg was remarkably quick to do an endzone dance in the wake of Trump being convicted on 34 felony charges he brought against him.

But as many have pointed out, George Soros-funded Bragg may want to hold off on too much celebration.

There’s a strong chance that Trump will ultimately beat the charges, according to legal experts.

According to The Hill, Turley, a professor at George Washington University Law School, laid out why he believes Bragg’s convictions will not stand the test of time in the appeals courts.

He wrote a piece for the outlet titled, “Bragg’s thrill kill in Manhattan could prove short-lived on appeal.”

Turley held nothing back in his assessment of the outcome of the case.

He noted that while the media and Bragg, and Democrats of course, celebrated the “thrill kill” aspect of finally “getting Trump,” such feelings could be short-lived.

“The celebrants would be wise to think twice before mounting this trophy kill on the political wall,” Turley wrote.

“The Trump trial is a target-rich environment for an appeal, with multiple layers of reversible error, in my view.”
