Republicans Blast FBI for Claiming Trump Shooter’s Motive Still Not Established
by
Republican lawmakers have blasted the FBI after the federal agency claims to have not yet identified a motive for the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump last weekend.
The FBI has conducted 200 interviews and combed through 14,000 images.
However, the bureau claims a clear motive behind the attempted assassination of Trump at a campaign rally Saturday in western Pennsylvania has still not been established.
As Slay News has reported, records show that the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks was a Democrat donor.
Those who knew him have also revealed that he disliked Trump and openly mocked those who support the 45th president.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), a member of the House Oversight Committee, blasted the FBI in a statement.
Burchett said he thinks it’s “bullsh*t” that federal investigators don’t have a motive yet.
“I’m not buying that they have nothing,” Burchett said Wednesday.
