Allstate CEO Lectures Sugar Bowl Viewers About “Accepting People’s Imperfections and Differences” After Deadly New Orleans Terror Attack
Allstate CEO Tom Wilson delivered a tone-deaf message to viewers tuning into the Sugar Bowl on Thursday night.
The game was rescheduled from New Year’s Day following the New Year’s Eve terror attack in New Orleans that left at least 14 people dead and at least 35 injured.
Before the game, which is sponsored by Allstate, Wilson lectured viewers on ” overcoming an addiction to divisiveness and negativity.”
He also suggested we “accept people’s imperfections and differences.”
Welcome to the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Wednesday, tragedy struck the New Orleans community.
Our prayers are with the victims and their families.
We also need to be stronger together by overcoming an addiction to divisiveness and negativity.
Join Allstate working in local communities all across America to amplify the positive, increase trust, and accept people’s imperfections and differences.
Together, we win.
