Liberals and Globalists Panic as Surging Right-Wingers Vie for Control of the European Union
After the ‘super-election-year’ of 2024, the European right-wingers have become a force to be reckoned with, having attained power in many countries like Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, Georgia; about to enter coalition in Austria; coming up HOT to election day in Romania and Germany as a real force; with both the French and British rightwing forces also on the rise.
Not only that, but we see populists and anti-globalists that are perhaps more left leaning, like in Slovakia and Serbia.
And let’s not forget that, while Russia is still the official bogeyman of the liberal Brussels establishment, it’s also an anti-Globalist, anti-woke, pro-traditional values civilization.
So, while in the surface the Macrons, and von der Leyens and the Scholzes of this world are still bossing about, Europe is primed for a conservative revolution that will steer it away from crippling, suicidal Globalist policies and into a common-sense approach that is bound to usher in a grand time of progress and abundance.
Now you just add to that the real miraculous event of 2024, in the figure of gigantic common sense conservative leader, US President Donald J. Trump – and you start to see just how powerful this movement can be.
As Bart De Wever becomes the new Belgium Prime Minister, an important new chapter commences in the steady climb of the Right to power in Europe.
Peter Franklin wrote an interesting piece in UnHerd:
“Thus the EU has another populist prime minister (De Wever) — in this case, one belonging to the same EU-wide alliance of parties as Italy’s Giorgia Meloni. Other shades of national populist also rule in the neighboring Netherlands, as well as Hungary and Slovakia.
In Austria, an establishment attempt to exclude the populist FPÖ, which won the 2024 general election, collapsed last month. FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl is likely to become Austrian chancellor later this year, putting a sixth EU country under a radical Right-wing leader and granting the populists another seat on the European Council.
