In yet another jaw-dropping example of the Biden administration’s national security failures, a ombshell report from the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General (DOJ OIG) revealed in June 2025 that 55 Afghan evacuees who were on the terrorist watchlist either made it to the U.S. or were added to the list after arriving — all during Joe Biden’s chaotic and deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The 87-page audit, released in June 2025, provides disturbing confirmation that Biden’s so-called “Operation Allies Welcome” allowed known or suspected terrorists to enter the country through rushed, incomplete vetting processes.
In total, 231 individuals were flagged as matches to the terrorist watchlist, and 55 were already on U.S. soil when the FBI identified them as national security risks.
This was not just bureaucratic failure — it was a national security time bomb.
One of those evacuees, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, entered the U.S. in September 2021. By 2024, he was actively plotting a terrorist attack on U.S. soil for Election Day in allegiance to ISIS.
Tawhedi allegedly acquired firearms and ammunition, planning to kill Americans in the name of radical Islam.
