VOX Launches European Offensive Against Sánchez’s “Express Regularization” of Illegal Immigrants

Mobilizing Allies in Governments and Demanding Reforms to Accelerate Deportations

The VOX party, led by Santiago Abascal, has announced an immediate offensive in the European sphere to counter the accelerated regularization of illegal immigrants promoted by Pedro Sánchez’s Government.

This measure, which will be approved through an urgent procedure without parliamentary debate, could benefit around 500,000 people in irregular status, halting expulsions and facilitating residence and arraigo permits without strengthening security checks or background verification.

VOX describes this initiative as a reward for illegality that weakens national borders and jeopardizes the internal security of Spain and the European Union.

The conservative formation has activated a series of diplomatic actions in Brussels and European capitals, including the sending of formal communications to diplomatic representations and direct contacts with allies in governments of other Member States.

The objective is to raise the issue to the Council of the European Union, highlighting its impacts on free movement, police cooperation, and the Schengen area.

In parallel, VOX has requested an urgent meeting with the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Magnus Brunner, to demand a regulatory reform that accelerates the deportations of illegal immigrants who commit crimes and to warn about the “pull effect” that, according to their argument, this mass regularization without adequate filters will generate.

In addition, the party has registered a request for an appearance and immediate debate in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament, with the aim that the Community institutions evaluate the real impact of this policy on coordination between States and collective security.
