Why Are Liberals So Miserable?: The Left’s Emotional Conditioning Exposed

Political commentator Tom Basile said liberals are often driven by emotion rather than reason, arguing that the frequent use of emotionally charged language by left-wing groups conditions supporters to respond irrationally.

“You know, I’m so often asked why liberals are so miserable, angst riddled and angry. The painful and sad truth is, is that they have been conditioned to be that way,” Basile said.

He pointed to specific words commonly used in political discourse.

“Words used by the left to increase their customer base, like fairness and equity, or alternatively, racist and Nazi, are all very emotional language. They are so overused in the context of emotion and without rational Foundation, they mean virtually nothing at this point,” he said.

Basile said institutions and organizations amplify what he described as exaggerated claims.

“There is a reason that woke schools and left wing commentators and organizations like Public Citizen and the teachers unions drive these wild claims of rampant racism and Phantom threats of Nazism running amok and catastrophism over climate change or anything that Donald Trump does,” Basile said.

He argued that emotional reactions can override rational decision-making.
