Democrat Mayor Arrested for Horrific Crimes Against Children

Former Gettysburg Mayor Chad-Alan Carr, a Democrat, has been arrested on multiple charges related to child abuse and exploitation, just weeks after resigning from the office he had held for barely two months.
Carr, 48, turned himself in to the Pennsylvania State Police at approximately 11 a.m. on March 13 and now faces multiple charges tied to alleged online sexual exploitation of a minor.
Felony Charges Filed
Carr was charged in Straban Township with:
Two felony counts of photographing, filming, or depicting a child engaged in a sexual act via computer or other electronic means
One misdemeanor count of corruption of minors
According to authorities, the charges carry a combined potential maximum sentence of nearly 30 years in prison if Carr is convicted on all counts.
A judge set bail at $100,000, which Carr was unable to post.
He is currently being held at the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 20.
Allegations Involve Teen Victim
The investigation stems from allegations involving one victim who was a teenager at the time of the alleged incidents.
