Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Now Allows Troops To Carry Personal Firearms On Bases
By Kaley
This is a big change for our troops.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth just overturned a rule that bans personal firearms on military bases.
Our military members will now be able to carry guns for self protection while on-base, as long as they get approval.
In a video message posted on X, Hegseth cited recent shootings at bases like Fort Stewart that make it necessary for military personnel to be able to defend themselves, if it comes to that.
Watch here:
Our military installations have been turned into gun-free zones—leaving our service members vulnerable and exposed.
That ends today. pic.twitter.com/IQ204YepZ0
