Trump’s Approval Rating Surges Among Black Voters in Major Shift from Democrats
by David Lindfield
President Donald Trump is continuing to chip away at the Democratic Party’s decades-long dominance among black voters, according to new polling data that shows a measurable shift in support.
The numbers suggest Republicans are making real inroads with a voting bloc Democrats have long treated as a guaranteed base.
Trump Approval Rises Among Black Voters
CNN data analyst Harry Enten acknowledged that Trump’s approval among African American voters has increased compared to his first term.
“I think what we’re seeing right now in the numbers is President Trump and the Republican Party are chipping away at the long-term advantage that Democrats have had with black voters,” Enten said.
Trump’s approval rating among black voters has risen from roughly 12% during his first term to about 16% in his second.
That shift was also reflected in the 2024 election.
Trump won approximately 15% of the black vote.
The president nearly doubled his support from 8% in 2020.
🚨 BREAKING: Even CNN is admitting it — Trump’s GOP is making generational gains with Black voters that are actually holding into his second term! 🔥
