Radical Democrat Admits Working with Foreign Governments to Help Communist Cuba Circumvent Trump Sanctions

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) has publicly admitted that she has been communicating with ambassadors from Mexico and other Latin American countries to explore ways of getting oil into communist Cuba, despite the Trump administration’s tightened sanctions targeting the regime.
The stunning admission came as President Donald Trump’s administration continues ramping up pressure on Cuba’s communist government through aggressive economic restrictions designed to choke off fuel supplies and weaken the regime’s grip on power.
Speaking during a public briefing after returning from a congressional delegation trip to Cuba, Jayapal described the island’s worsening energy crisis and openly discussed her efforts to coordinate with foreign governments.
“I was in conversations with the ambassadors from Mexico and some other places, other countries in Latin America trying to figure out how to get oil there,” Jayapal said.
Jayapal Attacks Trump Sanctions As ‘Economic Bombing’
Jayapal also lashed out at the administration’s sanctions policy, comparing Trump’s economic pressure campaign to an act of war.
“I’ve called these sanctions an economic bombing of the infrastructure of Cuba,” she said during the briefing.
“It is illegal,” she falsely claimed.
