The daughter of late Cuban communist dictator Fidel Castro has reignited long-running speculation surrounding former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after refusing to deny rumors that the two could be half-siblings during a televised interview.
The explosive exchange has once again fueled questions that have circulated for years about whether Trudeau’s real father could be Castro rather than former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
The speculation has repeatedly resurfaced since Castro’s death in 2016, driven by physical comparisons, comments from Trudeau’s mother, Margaret Trudeau, about her relationship with Castro, and reports surrounding a suicide note allegedly left behind by Castro’s eldest son.
Fidel Castro’s Daughter Refuses to Deny Rumors
During an interview with NewsNation, Castro’s daughter, Alina Fernandez, was directly asked about the long-running claims involving Trudeau.
Host Katie Pavlich asked Fernandez: “For years, we’ve heard rumors that Justin Trudeau, the former prime minister of Canada, could be your half-brother.
“What do you think of that?”
Rather than dismissing the rumors outright, Fernandez responded with a smile.
“The only thing I can say is that his mother used to visit the country very often,” Fernandez replied.
Pavlich then pressed further.
“Well, that may be a tell then,” Pavlich responded.
“I guess that’s a half-answer.
