Canada: Regina, Saskatchewan’s Call to Islamic Prayer on Loudspeakers on Hold After Backlash

A small but significant win in the battle against Sharia supremacism.

Some good news (for now) as people begin to slowly wake up in the West. Jihad Watch reported the original story HERE about the Muslim call to prayer in Regina, Saskatchewan blaring over loudspeakers in the wee hours of the morning. Now, the plan is on hold after a backlash. “Regina mosque’s weekly call to prayer on hold after backlash,” by Randi LaRocque, CBC, June 26, 2026:
A downtown Regina mosque continues to receive mixed reactions from people in the city about broadcasting the adhan, or the Muslim call to prayer, over the noon hour on Fridays.
The mosque, Regina City Jamia Masjid, obtained a permit allowing it to broadcast the three-minute call over rooftop speakers, once a week.
City police have said the permit is in place until July 10, when it will be reviewed by police and city officials.
The call was meant to play over the speakers on Friday, but the mosque’s director, M. Anisur Rahaman, said it has been put it on hold due to threats that were received after the first broadcast.
After seeing online threats, people in the Muslim community in Regina asked that the mosque pause the broadcast, Rahaman said at a news conference on Friday…
Woke politicians serve whomever gives them votes, or whom they believe can do so. When enough voices are heard, politicians listen for the sake of their electoral survival, no matter how irresponsible they may be. Kudos to the Regina population for not only looking out for their own peace, but also the traditions of the land.
The mosque’s director, M. Anisur Rahaman, employed the usual victimhood posturing to appeal to the woke, as he accused the public of sending “threats” to mosque attendees. What these threats were exactly, he did not, of course, disclose.
What they are saying is they are not feeling safe as a minority … they’re thinking that we need more dialogue to understand what exactly are the problems that can happen in the future. Because the social media and negative comments we have received … are not like very positive as a Muslim.
Not feeling safe? It isn’t Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindus whose scriptural texts command them to establish a global caliphate and who wage jihad against innocent populations and persecute minorities. So who really should be feeling unsafe?
M. Anisur Rahaman’s solution for the pause in the supremacist adhan, which loudly proclaims that Allah is above every deity of the land, is “dialogue.” Let’s take an example from Dearborn, Michigan where “dialogue” with Muslims has been pursued with particular energy:
